Our technician Phillip was prompt and efficient. The spring on our door had broken and needed replacement. The work was under warranty. In barely 30 minutes, he had replaced the spring, lubricated the rails, checked down force operation, and left us with a repaired door. Bad news, our garage door spring failed, and we knew it was going to be an expensive pain in the ass to get it repaired. But we were wrong. Good news, I contacted Precision Garage Door of Austin after reading their reviews online. They sent their technician, Stephen Michael, out to assess our problem that same day. He reviewed what parts had failed and how the system worked. He made suggestions as to what would have to be fixed to get it working again, and he gave us two additional options that would replace some additional older parts of the system. (Our system was more than 10 years old, likely more like 20.) We signed our contract on Friday, and they completed the work on Monday. We chose the second option with a 3-year warranty, and are happy with our decision.

Couldn't have asked for better service. I called several competitors before asking AI search for highly rated garage door service in the Austin area. None of the companies had availability same day and a couple of them offered Saturday service with extra weekend charges. I called Precision Garage Door a little after 9 AM on Friday and the job was completed before 10:15 AM with no extra charge. Technician Josh Surfus was very respectful and informative AND a military veteran. Couldn't ask for more. Thanks for the help!

Due to recent power surges, my garage door started opening itself periodically. Additionally, although it was synced with my security app, that sync also was disrupted, so I was not even aware that the door was open. I called Precision Garage Door one day and the next day at the scheduled time, Daniel arrived and installed a new garage door opener. He was excellent at the technical part, of course, but in addition, he was patient with me and actually went the extra mile to work through a difficult process of getting the new system and the security app to work together. I would never hesitate to use Daniel or Precision again. Thank you for an "above and beyond" experience!

Avoid these guys at all costs. We had a torsion spring break on our two-car garage and called them out for a quote. The guy proceeded to tell me that I needed to replace everything and even suggested I go ahead and do another garage door. Gave me quotes for over $3,000 for the single garage and $5,000 if I did the other one as well. The prices of the quoted parts were outrageously inflated. Quoted me a new garage door opener for $1,200 that retails for $497. Quoted me $320 for 10 new rollers (totally unnecessary) that retail for less than $50. $212 for two new drums that retail for $20. Literally everything in their quote was inflated by at least 200-300%. We ended up getting a quote to fix the door from another local company. They told us the recommended changes from Precision were all completely unnecessary and did the job for less than $1,000. This company is a complete grift and our experience with them was horrible. Also be aware that they charge $75 just to come out and give an estimate.

I woke up this morning at 6:30 AM to a less than pleasant experience, my garage door will not open. I replaced my garage door and garage door opener back in 2019 with Precision Garage Door of Austin, so we called them back out as we were very happy with their service in the past. Our service technician Stephen Michael arrived promptly, and was very courteous and professional. As the previous replacement/repairs were performed over 5 years ago, I fully expected to come out of pocket for the repairs, but Stephen pushed the repair through as a one time goodwill warranty gesture. Talk about customer service!! If you are looking to build a relationship for all of your garage door needs both now, and in the future, look no further than Precision Garage Door of Austin!
