My door was old and really needed to be upgraded. I was very satisfied with the way he worked and the way my garage door was repaired. It is quiet and smooth operating now. This was ALMOST a 5 star service. Almost because my technician did not tell me that when he installed my new garage door opener with their highest cost product that I would be losing functionality! I plainly told him that I always turn the power off to the opener when I am in the house. He failed to warn me that if he installed that particular door, it would beep constantly while the power was off. The best Precision would do was offer me a $100 refund & unplug the back-up battery. I paid over $250 for the backup battery! So 2 problems: No warning about loss of functionality, and an insufficient remedy.

Brian Rykowski with Precision Garage Door of Austin came to my aid at the end of the day on a Friday when I backed into my garage door and pulled it off track. He quickly assessed the situation and let me know it wasnt as bad as it looked. Brian was professional and knowledgeable of the companies products and gave us tons of information to assist in our decision to replace the garage door. I appreciate his service and look forward to upgrading in the near future.

I've now had two excellent experiences with Precision Garage Door of Austin. Last fall Brian Rykowski did an excellent job of explaining why the door on my attached garage failed as well as why a full rebuild of the primary moving parts was needed. Financially speaking, the timing of this problem was terrible. So he offered to do a shorter term repair instead. Last week, the door on the unattached garage came off of its rail. This time I had the pleasure of working with Stephen Michael, another very knowledgeable technician. This time the exact cause was not clear but most likely due to the weak mounting of the rail which he fixed for a very reasonable price. While he was here I also had him rebuild the other door. As with Brian, he showed me everything that was done and gave me ample opportunity to ask questions. Highly recommended.
