Our garage door spring broke and I was unable to open the door. I scheduled a same day appointment with Precision Garage Door of Austin. The technician, Shane Murphy, was friendly, courteous, very informative, explained what the issue was clearly, and went over several options with great detail. Shane even helped move some boxes out of the way to give him the access needed to work on the door. Thanks Shane, we are very please with the work you performed.

Precision Garage Doors were able to come out the next day after my door broke and provided me with multiple options on how I could approach the repairs needed. Phil was incredibly friendly and helpful. He clearly explained what needed to be done and worked with me on the price for multiple doors. Had a great experience today. I quickly received a same day appointment at a good time for me. Phil called when he was on his way. A text was sent before his arrival so I knew who to expect. After seeing commercials on TV I noticed my spring looked bowed like it might break. I called and even though it was not a emergency they said they could schedule service today. Shane from Precision came and we discussed what service options I had. I could just fix the main problem or I could also do some preventive service so other parts would not need replacing in the next 3 or more years. There was no pressure to buy any thing. My door was working fine. Like I said at the beginning of this review, after seeing the commercials and using them, I trust this company and would recommend them to any one who needs garage door service.

I can't speak highly enough about this incredibly knowledgeable garage door company and its skilled technicians! When our garage door finally gave out and refused to close either automatically or manually, we were in a bit of a panic. Not only was the door stuck open, leaving our home exposed to the elements and the world, but it also gave our dog a free pass to chase every cat and dog in the neighborhood! I called around 8 AM, and by some miracle, a technician arrived before noon--an absolute lifesaver! The first tech Phil Belfrage was efficient, precise, and clearly well-versed in his craft, living up to the company's stellar reputation. There was no fumbling or second-guessing--he had the door back down in record time. He also took the time to evaluate the situation, giving us a clear estimate on repairs or replacement. We chose to go with a full replacement since the door was original to the house, and though there was a six-week lead time due to the custom fabrication, we decided to go with windows. It was well worth the wait. When the new door arrived, Isaiah White, the second technician, handled the installation. I can't say enough good things about Isaiah--he was professional, polite, and extremely knowledgeable. It was a pleasure chatting with him while he single-handedly dismantled the old door, carefully cleaned up all the debris, and loaded everything onto his truck. He then began inspecting the existing rails and proceeded to install the new door, which came in heavy sections that he managed with ease. Within just a couple of hours, our garage had a brand-new, perfectly functioning door. From start to finish, this company exceeded expectations. Their prompt response, professional service, and the quality of their work make them an easy recommendation. Just when I thought the service couldn't get any better, Isaiah proved once again why this garage door company deserves every bit of praise. After the installation, I noticed a small issue with light peeking through both sides at the bottom of the door. Fortunately, Isaiah had left his contact information, so I gave him a quick call. Without hesitation, he returned promptly, just a few blocks away, and made a slight adjustment to the door, correcting the issue immediately. His dedication to ensuring everything was perfect, even after the job was technically done, speaks volumes about his professionalism and commitment to customer satisfaction. It's rare to find such reliable, courteous service these days, and this company has truly set the bar high. We were having a problem with our garage door not closing. Phil Belfrage from Precision Garage Door of Austin came out and diagnosed and fixed the issue quickly. He was very professional and courteous and I would definitely recommend Precision Garage Door of Austin to anyone having garage door issue.

These guys are as shady as they come. Shame on me for not listening to all the negative reviews about this company. When they arrived (to try and figure out why the door was taking longer than usual to open/close), they immediately wanted to sell me a new garage door for $5k. When I said no, they tried to sell me new springs, rollers, etc for $3k. After that, the tension bar for $2k. It finally came down to around $1,300 for just the bar itself. When I said that was still to high, they charged me $75.00 and left. They don't even provide military discounts for the service charge. To any Veterans who are thinking about using this company, as a United States Marine, please take me at my word, stay clear of this company. There goal, at a minimum, is to get that $75.00 estimate fee from you (after trying to sell you crap you don't even need, like a new garage door when the issue is a spring)! And, to the owner of Precision door, you should be ashamed of yourself but after reading so many negative reviews about you and your company, clearly, you're not. Don't bother responding with, "our prices are higher because we're better, blah blah blah." It will fall upon deaf ears. UPDATE: We had another company come out and they replaced the Tension tube, springs, bearings, plate, sensors, and recalibrated the entire system for $300 less than what Precision Garage Door of Austin quoted. Furthermore, they didn't even charge a $75.00 service fee to come out. I'm going to see if they are okay with me posting their company name within this post. If so, I will update it. Bottom line, there are still plenty of honest companies who don't put profits over people, it just so happens that Precision Garage Door of Austin isn't one of them.
