If you have a 20-year-old garage door with something broken, it's advisable to avoid Precision Garage Door of Austin. I find it perplexing how there are so many positive reviews on Google for them. They seem unwilling to fix anything and tend to provide quotes for renewing everything, even items that may not require replacement, such as the entire garage door. Following this disappointing experience, I opted to schedule a repair with another local professional who accurately diagnosed the issue and efficiently resolved it. Unlike Precision, this individual appreciated the existing door and hardware, without attempting to upsell unnecessary replacements. Notably, the cost of the repair was a mere quarter of Precision's quoted amount. Furthermore, it's important to note that Precision Garage food or Austin charges for their initial visit to provide a quote, which often entails recommending a full refresh or replacement of components. If you decide not to proceed with Precision Garage door of Austin due to their perceived overcharging, you've essentially spent money for a service that didn't result in any tangible benefit.

We experienced a complete failure of the lifting system (old springs literally exploded) Door was jammed...could not move it. Precision Door had installed a new opener about 18months ago and handily put a huge decal with their service number on right below the main switch. They came out within 3 hours of our "emergency" call. The fix was easy...new door. The how and when it could be done got complicated.The tech was great in handling the problem...got his boss Shaun on the phone and I was able to work out the details of color and a rather complicated install after about 20 minutes. In two days Precision Door had our new door installed. It is not how difficult the problem is...it is the PEOPLE who work it...come up with a solution....and then implement the fix. Precision Door's staff is just oustanding. Don't look anywhere else...just buy from them!! John Rush

I had both of my garage doors replaced after 25 years. The technician, Shane Murphy, came out and made the initial assessment and provided me with a detailed estimate. It took about three weeks for the new doors, rails and other hardware to come in, but it was well worth the wait. Shane also did the installation. He is such a pro! He worked diligently for several hours to make sure that everything was just right. I am more than pleased and I highly recommend Shane and Precision Garage Door of Austin.

Patrick Day with Precision Garage Door did a great job. On day 1 came on time, inspected and needed to order a part. On day 2 came on time and did the replacement. Everything worked great, no problems. Always called me 30 minutes before appointed time and arrived on time. Also very polite. I have used Precision and continue to use them

I had my garage door replaced. I didn't do any price shopping, so I have no idea if I got a good deal. BUT, the sales guy was great as was the installer, Mickey Wheeler, so even if I paid a higher price, they did what they said they would do and I have a door that doesn't sound like it's one more cycle from breaking down completely. I have four stars instead of five because this was my first encounter with them, so we'll see how it goes during the five year guarantee period. I'm estimating it took 4/6 weeks between sale and installation. I had a custom order so that's probably one reason. If you wait until your door dies, you might be waiting for a while. I was happy to wait, but I got in and out of my garage either no hassle while I waited.

Prospero Hernandez installed our garage door for us and he was great! Prompt and courteous. Job was done well and when he was done swept out the garage and cleaned the windows. You rarely see anyone clean up after themselves anymore and I cant say enough good things about this guy. Thank you for your wonderful job!

Amazing service! My spring broke last week and I couldnt get into my garage. Appointment set for 8:00 am - 10:00 am arrival, and Jeremy showed up at 8:15, and he fixed the issue in less than an hour. In a time where good service is sometimes hard to find, Precision Garage Door did exactly what they promised in less time than expected. They will be my ONLY call for future garage door needs.

Sean the general manager came out for an emergency call at 10.30 PM in the middle of heavy rainfall to help open the garage door, which was locked from inside. He explained everything clearly over the phone and arrived on time and finished the job inside 15 minutes. I would highly recommend.

Precision Garage door has been phenomenal from day one. They are very professional, communicative in a timely manner and keep you updated a long the way. Once our doors came in they notified us, we scheduled an appointment to have them installed and when the installer (Prospero Hernandez) showed up in the time he said he would he had the job done in less time than he told me. We were very pleased with the completed job. He went over everything before he left and was very explanatory on what he was going to do and what he did. Very nice guy!!!!
